Statement Following Oral Arguments in the U.S. Supreme Court From E. Pierce Marshall

It is our hope that the Justices will agree with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. This is, and always has been, a probate case that was first decided by the Texas Probate Court. That court which ruled no one tampered with my father's affairs before or after his death," said Pierce Marshall.

The Texas Probate Court is the only court to hold a trial in this case and, after hearing more than five months of testimony, ruled that Pierce Marshall was cleared of any improper behavior at any time. The ruling Vicki's (Anna Nicole's) lawyers like to quote has been overturned by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. It was based on a brief hearing during which the defense was not permitted to present any witnesses.

A decision in our favor by the Supreme Court will go a long way toward finally putting an end to this frivolous lawsuit with claims that are totally fabricated.

A decision to return the case to the lower courts still leaves us with numerous other grounds to overturn the District Court's decision awarding Anna Nicole $88.5 million. If necessary, each of those remaining grounds will be pursued vigorously.
